Payroll Specialist (Bilingual Spanish)

Compensation: $65,000 – $90,000 annually DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing manufacturing team in Vernon, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment, strong knowledge of California payroll regulations, and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish. Experience with Paylocity is highly preferred.
Responsibilities

Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a weekly and/or bi-weekly basis.

Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and garnishments.

Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Review and audit timesheets, attendance records, and payroll reports for accuracy.

Process new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and employee status updates within the payroll system.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Manage payroll tax reporting, wage attachments, and benefit deductions.

Reconcile payroll reports, payroll liabilities, and general ledger accounts.

Partner with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.

Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and audits.

Support payroll compliance initiatives and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Qualifications

5+ years of payroll processing experience required.

Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.

Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees preferred.

Paylocity experience strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of California wage and hour laws.

Experience with payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits administration, and leave tracking.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.

High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $90,000.00 per hour
