Payroll Specialist

LHH is partnering with a growing organization in the Cincinnati, OH area to identify a Payroll Specialist for contract engagement. This role will support a busy payroll function during a transitional period and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a hybrid schedule and exposure to a collaborative, team-driven culture.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly, multi-state payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Enter and validate payroll data including bonuses, commissions, benefits, and other earnings

• Review and reconcile timekeeping data prior to payroll submission

• Audit payroll reports to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations

• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including direct deposit and tax information

• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and policies with a high level of customer service

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting

• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work within payroll systems

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Experience supporting union payroll environments preferred

Pay Details: $31.00 to $34.00 per hour
