Payroll Specialist – El Cajon, CA
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization in El Cajon. This is a contract role with strong potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:
Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Review and audit timekeeping records, wage calculations, and payroll data
Manage payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, and taxes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payroll runs as needed
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions
Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end processes
Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system
Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow
Support payroll reporting and assist with audits
Qualifications:
1+ years of full-cycle payroll experience required
Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar
Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Contract role located in El Cajon with strong potential to become permanent
Position Details:
Onsite work schedule
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
Located in El Cajon, San Diego
Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
