Payroll Specialist – El Cajon, CA
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization in El Cajon. This is a contract role with strong potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely completion

• Review and audit timekeeping records, wage calculations, and payroll data

• Manage payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, and taxes

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

• Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payroll runs as needed

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions

• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end processes

• Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system

• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow

• Support payroll reporting and assist with audits

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of full-cycle payroll experience required

• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar

• Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Contract role located in El Cajon with strong potential to become permanent

Position Details:

• Onsite work schedule

• Compensation: $25.00 per hour

• Located in El Cajon, San Diego 

• Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
