Location: El Cajon, CA
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Employment Type: Contract to potential hire
 
Our client in El Cajon is seeking a detail oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role supports high volume payroll processing and requires strong accuracy, communication, and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast paced environment and have experience working with tipped employees or hourly workforces.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Process high volume payroll accurately and on time

• Utilize Dayforce to enter, review, and audit payroll data

• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies

• Assist with payroll adjustments, garnishments, and timekeeping issues

• Collaborate with HR and management to resolve discrepancies

•  Provide excellent internal customer service

 
Must Haves:

• 1+ year of payroll experience

• Experience working in a high volume payroll environment

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) or similar payroll systems

• Hospitality, retail, or food & beverage industry experience preferred 

• Payroll for tipped positions
