Location: El Cajon, CA
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Employment Type: Contract to potential hire
Our client in El Cajon is seeking a detail oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role supports high volume payroll processing and requires strong accuracy, communication, and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast paced environment and have experience working with tipped employees or hourly workforces.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high volume payroll accurately and on time
Utilize Dayforce to enter, review, and audit payroll data
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist with payroll adjustments, garnishments, and timekeeping issues
Collaborate with HR and management to resolve discrepancies
Provide excellent internal customer service
Must Haves:
1+ year of payroll experience
Experience working in a high volume payroll environment
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) or similar payroll systems
Hospitality, retail, or food & beverage industry experience preferred
Payroll for tipped positions
