Plumbing Service Manager

The LHH is seeking a Plumbing Service Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a construction client located in the Greater Indianapolis Area. This is an opportunity to join a well-established organization known for its stability, strong employee tenure, and long-standing customer relationships. In this role, you will take ownership of a critical service division, leading daily operations, driving performance, and building a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $130-150K per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead daily service operations including dispatching and scheduling of field technicians
Provide direct supervision over a team of plumbing professionals, technicians, and dispatch personnel
Establish, monitor, and improve KPIs for operational and team performance
Optimize scheduling to maximize efficiency and technician productivity
Oversee inventory levels, equipment usage, and vendor relationships
Ensure timely completion of jobs while maintaining quality standards
Troubleshoot complex operational issues and provide hands-on support as needed
Lead and develop a team of experienced trades professionals
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and workforce planning
Collaborate with leadership on operational strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor financial metrics including labor utilization, margins, and cost control
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company standards
Support emergency response and escalation needs as required
QUALIFICATIONS
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT: You must be an actively Licensed Plumber in order to be eligible for this position.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience within the commercial plumbing industry is required
Must have 2+ years of leadership experience managing service operations
Must have the ability to lead, develop, and manage experienced field teams effectively
Ideal candidates will have experience working with operational metrics and reporting tools
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
Technical proficiency with service management and reporting systems preferred
