LHH is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to serve as a technical expert to drive improvements in plant efficiency and reliability, lead root cause analysis, and support capital projects to improve process performance. This role requires 7-10 years of experience and strong analytical skills to interpret process data and identify trends. This direct hire role is in Ottawa, IL and the anticipated salary is between $98,000-$136,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

·       Improve plant efficiency and reliability through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

·       Proactively monitor operations and troubleshoot to prevent issues

·       Conduct root cause analysis and lead efforts to eliminate production losses

·       Support capital projects aimed at enhancing process performance and safety

·       Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to solve problems

·       Guide process changes, equipment upgrades, and operating parameters

 

Qualifications:

·       Minimum 7 years of experience working in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment

·       Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Strong communication skills

·       Experience with root cause analysis preferred

·       Prior experience leading or supporting capital projects preferred
