Procurement Coordinator – Contract-to-Hire – Indianapolis, IN

LHH is actively recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to join a dynamic team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity located just north of downtown, offering free parking and a collaborative work environment.

Compensation: $25–$30/hour, based on experience


About the Role

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing purchasing activities, maintaining ERP data accuracy, and supporting supply chain operations. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in purchasing and ERP systems who thrive in fast-paced environments and value continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update price lists, lead times, and safety stock levels in the ERP system.

  • Forecast and plan purchases for raw materials, hard goods, and packaging.

  • Assist in identifying new suppliers and gathering critical pricing and supply information.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on raw material documentation.

  • Manage purchase order deliveries and scheduling within the ERP system.

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding material availability and pricing updates.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve purchasing processes and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) standards, including ISO-related policies and objectives.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience; material handling experience is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with MRP planning in an ERP system.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and VLOOKUPs).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

 



Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
