Job Title: Project Accounting Specialist
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 (DOE)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accounting Specialist with a strong background in the construction industry to join our team in West Palm Beach. This is a 100% onsite, direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability and growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects

  • Track project budgets, costs, and billing to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Prepare and review AIA billing, lien waivers, and change orders

  • Reconcile job cost reports and ensure alignment with general ledger

  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to monitor financial performance

  • Process subcontractor invoices and ensure timely payments

  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting related to projects

  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records for all projects

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project accounting experience in the construction industry (required)

  • Strong understanding of construction billing practices (AIA, retainage, etc.)

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar)

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
