Job Title: Project Accounting Specialist
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 (DOE)
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accounting Specialist with a strong background in the construction industry to join our team in West Palm Beach. This is a 100% onsite, direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability and growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects
Track project budgets, costs, and billing to ensure accuracy and compliance
Prepare and review AIA billing, lien waivers, and change orders
Reconcile job cost reports and ensure alignment with general ledger
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to monitor financial performance
Process subcontractor invoices and ensure timely payments
Assist with month-end close and financial reporting related to projects
Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records for all projects
Qualifications:
3+ years of project accounting experience in the construction industry (required)
Strong understanding of construction billing practices (AIA, retainage, etc.)
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
