Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Clerk (Direct Hire)
Location: On-site – Northwest Houston, TX 77070
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 annually
Bonus: Approximately 10% annual bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Clerk to support procurement operations in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. This role focuses on high-volume data entry and system accuracy during an active ERP transition. The information maintained in this role is critical to business operations and is used by leadership for decision-making.

This position plays a key role in supporting the procurement team by owning transactional data accuracy, allowing team members to focus on execution and technical work.

Core Responsibilities
• Provide dedicated support for high-volume procurement data entry
• Maintain and update purchase orders, subcontracts, and contract records
• Support ongoing data updates related to ERP/system transitions
• Ensure procurement data is accurate, complete, and up to date

Key Duties
• Enter, review, and maintain purchase orders, subcontracts, and related records
• Verify data accuracy including coding, pricing, and supporting documentation
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, missing information, or duplicate entries
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify and correct data issues
• Track revisions, approvals, and updates to procurement records
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation
• Support procurement and accounting teams with administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications
• 1–3+ years of experience in data entry, procurement support, administrative, or accounting roles
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume work
• Experience working in ERP or system-driven environments (project-based systems preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently in a detail-heavy role
• Strong internal communication skills

Preferred Experience
• Exposure to procurement processes, purchase orders, invoices, or cost tracking
• Experience in construction or project-based environments is a plus
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Autodesk (Cost Module) is beneficial

Candidate Profile
• Early career candidates with relevant internships, coursework, or up to 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply
• Degree in supply chain, business, or related field is preferred but not required
• Interest in long-term career growth in procurement or supply chain
• Motivated, coachable, and detail-oriented

Day-to-Day Activities
• Process high-volume purchase order and subcontract entries
• Review procurement data for completeness and accuracy
• Support ERP transition efforts and data cleanup
• Identify and correct errors before submission
• Partner with procurement, accounting, and project teams

Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary: $45,000 – $65,000
• Approximately 10% annual bonus
