LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Appeals Specialist for a large healthcare client on the insurance side. This fully remote contract role will focus on managing provider billing disputes and medical appeals, supporting timely and accurate resolution in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Review, process, and manage medical appeals and provider billing disputes
Analyze medical claims, documentation, and payer policies to determine outcomes
Communicate with providers, internal stakeholders, and payers regarding appeal status and resolutions
Ensure appeals are handled in accordance with health insurance guidelines and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of appeals activity
Meet productivity, quality, and turnaround time standards
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in medical appeals
Strong working knowledge of the health insurance industry
Experience handling provider billing disputes
High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
