Senior Accountant
LHH Recruitment solutions is looking for a senior accountant for one of our clients in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting function in a complex, multi-entity operating environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis while partnering with operational teams to ensure accurate financial results and strong internal controls. This role is hybrid after training and will pay between $75K and $90K annually. This role is direct hire / permanent placement.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis while partnering with operational teams to ensure accurate financial results and strong internal controls. Job Duties
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for multiple locations or business units.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations to management.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, reserves, and intercompany accounts.
- Track and account for large asset portfolios, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and impairments.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis.
- Support cash flow analysis and working capital reporting.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and billing teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial data.
- Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and documentation of accounting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations.
- Hands-on experience with fixed assets, depreciation, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills: experience with large ERP systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
