Senior Accountant

Compensation: $90,000k +

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office)

Experience Level: 5+ years of accounting experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support senior leadership while providing oversight, guidance, and review for an offshore accounting team. This role is responsible for high‑quality financial reporting, process documentation, and higher‑level accounting tasks. Over time, the Senior Accountant will work toward independently managing small to mid‑sized client engagements, owning the client relationship and all deliverables with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Support

  • Serve as the primary accounting resource for the offshore accounting team, addressing questions and resolving issues

  • Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing guidance to ensure consistency and accuracy

  • Review and refine team deliverables to ensure compliance with standards and expectations

  • Support team leads with workload management and resolution of complex accounting matters

  • Ensure accurate entry of billable and non‑billable time for utilization tracking and client billing

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Prepare complete financial statements, including review, analysis, and correction of discrepancies

  • Identify and resolve month‑end close issues, unusual transactions, and anomalies

  • Present accurate financial reporting packages to senior leadership for review

  • Support full‑cycle accounting operations, from daily activities through month‑end close, with increasing independence

  • Perform higher‑level accounting tasks requiring technical judgment and review

Process Documentation & Compliance Oversight

  • Review, maintain, and organize accounting process documentation

  • Ensure documentation is complete, current, and consistently followed

  • Follow up with team members to address gaps or inconsistencies in documentation

Client Management & Delegation

  • Work toward independently managing small to mid‑sized client relationships and deliverables

  • Delegate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks appropriately

  • Focus on high‑level review and analysis while leveraging the team for execution

  • Ensure smooth daily operations, stepping in when escalation is required

Long‑Term Growth & Leadership Development

  • Progress toward managing one or more team leads and their respective teams

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and leadership development support

  • Participate in performance management, training planning, and resource allocation

  • Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA) or progress toward certification preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience

  • Advanced knowledge of financial statement preparation, analysis, and review

  • Strong experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct, SAP)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience with process documentation and compliance

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to operate independently and take ownership of client accounts

  • Strong leadership, communication, and delegation skills

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy



Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
