Pay: $35–$55/hour

About the Opportunity
A Houston‑based organization is adding a Senior Accountant to support increased accounting activity, close deadlines, and ERP‑driven initiatives. This role is suited for an experienced accountant who can step in quickly, own core accounting responsibilities, and keep reporting timelines on track.
This opportunity offers strong visibility, meaningful work, and high likelihood of extension depending on project needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
Prepare, post, and review journal entries and accruals
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
Maintain accurate general ledger activity within ERP systems
Support internal and external audit requests
Partner with AP, payroll, and FP&A teams as needed
Identify process inefficiencies and support accounting improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Experience using ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
Prior project‑based or interim accounting experience preferred
Pay Details: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour
