Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate and timely financial data to support decision-making and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific financial regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit preparation.
Monitor and manage fixed assets and capital expenditures.
Assist with internal controls and process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, billing, and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or a multi-entity environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ERP systems and healthcare billing platforms.
Familiarity with cost accounting and reimbursement models.
Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance standards.
