Senior Accountant (Contract) – Pasadena, CA

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a short-term contract assignment in Pasadena. This role will focus on supporting the accounting team through month-end close activities, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Ideal candidates are hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to jump in quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close including preparation and posting of journal entries

• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules

• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with account analysis, variance explanations, and general ledger maintenance

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting

• Collaborate with accounting team to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience; Senior Accountant level preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

• Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting

• Solid reconciliation and general ledger experience

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Ability to work independently and start quickly in a contract environment

• Location: Pasadena, CA (onsite)

• Duration: Approximately 2–3 months

• Compensation: $35–$44/hour, depending on experience

• Start Date: ASAP

Pay Details: $35.00 to $44.00 per hour
