Senior Accountant

Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This individual will play a key role in managing core accounting functions, improving processes, and supporting accurate financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with leadership and cross‑functional partners to ensure financial integrity and support ongoing business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting

• Analyze variances and provide key insights to support decision‑making

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes

• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and related reporting

• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation and explanations

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls

• Mentor junior accounting staff and support their development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred)

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
