Job Title: Senior Accounting Associate
Location: Remote (Must work Pacific Time hours)
Compensation: $26.25/hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Associate to support residuals payment processing across various entertainment and media projects. This role is remote, but candidates must be able to work standard Pacific Time business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST).
The ideal candidate will have a background in timekeeping, contracts, and residuals processing, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process residuals payments to talent, foreign guilds, and union pension & health plans
Review and interpret contracts and collective bargaining agreements to ensure compliance
Research and resolve discrepancies or issues related to residuals calculations and processing
Communicate with third-party payroll providers to facilitate and troubleshoot payments
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support timely and accurate payment execution
Maintain documentation and support audit readiness through detailed recordkeeping
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows
Required Qualifications
Experience with timekeeping systems and contract review
Ability to understand and interpret union/guild agreements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume financial environments
Prior experience in residuals processing or entertainment payroll
Familiarity with union/guild rules and reporting (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE)
Background in production finance or content accounting
Experience collaborating with third-party payroll vendors
Pay Details: $26.00 to $26.25 per hour
