Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a professional corporate environment in North Scottsdale. This organization is looking to add a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday. This job requires a Bachelor Degree, at least 5+ years of multi-entity and high volume invoice processing. Additionally, experience with GAAP standards, journal entries and accruals are required. The salary is up to $80,000.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and brings strong technical knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processes and GAAP standards.
Position Summary
The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing high-volume invoice processing, multi-entity payables, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and GAAP. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency within the AP function.
Key Responsibilities
Process high-volume invoices (1,000+ per month) with accuracy and efficiency
Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities
Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare accruals and record journal entries in support of month-end close
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Maintain accurate vendor records and payment schedules
Assist with month-end close processes related to AP
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments
Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree required
5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
Proven experience processing 1,000+ invoices monthly
Multi-entity accounting experience required
Strong experience with statement reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Experience preparing accruals and journal entries
Solid understanding of GAAP principles
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel is a MUST
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
