Senior Procurement Specialist

About the Opportunity

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced procurement professional to support strategic sourcing, supplier management, and material planning activities. This individual will play a key role in ensuring critical materials and services are available to support operational goals while driving cost savings, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business and operational objectives.

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to improve service, responsiveness, quality, and overall value.

  • Lead supplier negotiations and support initiatives focused on reducing costs and improving long-term supply continuity.

  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.

  • Partner closely with operations, engineering, quality, planning, and finance teams to support business initiatives and production requirements.

  • Manage purchasing activities for materials, components, and external services required to support manufacturing operations.

  • Resolve material shortages, supplier performance concerns, and delivery challenges in a timely manner.

  • Support procurement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.

  • Utilize enterprise systems and purchasing tools to maintain data integrity, support planning activities, and improve operational visibility.

  • Contribute to inventory optimization, supplier development, and risk reduction efforts.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable business requirements.

  • Participate in additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.

  • Experience working with ERP, MRP, or similar business systems.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence outcomes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline preferred.



Pay Details: $72,000.00 to $90,500.00 per year
