LHH Recruitment Solutions (pka Parker+Lynch) is working with a trusted manufacturing client looking for a Sr. Cost Accounting Manager. This is a newly created role due to growth and will oversee the Cost process and a team of FP&A/Cost Analysts. The ideal candidate comes from a cost background within manufacturing at a multi-billion dollar firm.
Duties:
Oversee cost structures, operational reporting, and key performance metrics
Review trends, variances, and performance drivers against plan and outlook
Communicate financial results to operational and finance leadership
Assist with operational components of the month-end close process
Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to support business planning
Support inventory-related analysis and financial accuracy at the plant level
Monitor productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement initiatives
Partner with operations and site leadership to support financial decision-making
Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, and ongoing forecast processes
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
Lead and develop operations-focused finance team members
Convert operational activity into high-level financial insight and reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, ideally at a large manufacturer
Experience partnering directly with plant or operations leadership
