LHH is partnering with our client to identify a Senior Financial Analyst. This role will support accurate and timely financial reporting, enable data-driven decision-making, and build and maintain models for financial planning and forecasting. The anticipated salary for this role is between $130,000-$140,000 a year.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Partner with content production and distribution teams to evaluate sales performance and profit-and-loss results against financial targets

·       Work closely with the accounting team to assist with monthly and quarterly close processes

·       Prepare and deliver regular financial reports, analyses, and key performance metrics to support business decisions

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting cycles

·       Develop financial models and conduct profitability analyses to support strategic initiatives and assess new opportunities

·       Track and analyze key financial indicators, communicating insights clearly to stakeholders

·       Identify opportunities to improve processes and help implement best practices within financial planning and analysis (FP&A)

·       Create dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership

·       Monitor industry and market trends to inform planning and analysis activities

·       Support ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects as needed

Qualifications:

·       Demonstrates strong business insight and a proactive, inquisitive mindset; an interest in visual storytelling or graphic-based media is a plus

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

·       Minimum of 2 years of relevant finance, forecasting, or planning experience

·       Background in media, entertainment, or publishing is a plus

·       Strong business acumen with a high level of curiosity; interest in visual storytelling or illustrated media is a plus

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

·       Strong written and verbal communication abilities

·       Proven organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

·       Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams to solve complex challenges

·       Advanced Excel skills, including building financial models for complex scenarios

·       Experience working with large datasets

·       Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Oracle or SAP) and data visualization tools (such as Tableau or similar platforms) is a plus

·       Must be able to commute to or reside to the San Francisco Bay area
