Senior Payroll Administrator

LHH is partnering with a stable, complex organization on a contract-to-hire Senior Payroll Administrator to support large‑scale payroll operations. This role focuses on end‑to‑end payroll and timekeeping accuracy for a distributed, multi‑state workforce and works closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with varying work rules.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has supported high‑volume weekly payroll and is comfortable navigating union environments.
Compensation: 35-43/hr DOQ
This is a temporary‑to‑hire role through LHH Recruitment Solutions (Adecco Group). Benefits during the contract period are provided by Adecco and include Minnesota Earned Sick & Safe Time. Client benefits apply upon conversion.
What You’ll Do:
Support end‑to‑end payroll and timekeeping processes for a large, hourly workforce
Review, audit, and reconcile time records prior to weekly and bi‑weekly payroll runs
Apply union agreements and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate pay
Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll questions and discrepancies
Support off‑cycle payroll activity and historical audit requests
Assist with system updates, testing, and process improvements
Ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of payroll experience in a multi‑state environment
Demonstrated experience supporting high‑volume payroll
Exposure to union payroll strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and comfort with complex rules and deadlines
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting
Solid understanding of payroll compliance and wage/hour regulations
CPP certification a plus
