A leading organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a workforce of over 60,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone with deep payroll expertise, strong compliance knowledge, and a hands-on approach to team development.
🔍 What You’ll Do
Lead payroll processing for salaried, hourly, tipped, seasonal, and union employees.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Canadian payroll regulations.
Collaborate with HRIS, Benefits, Accounting, and external vendors to maintain system integrity.
Train and mentor payroll team members, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
Identify and resolve process inefficiencies and compliance risks.
Manage payroll systems, reporting, and audits across multiple FEINs and jurisdictions.
✅ What You Bring
7+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role within a high-volume environment (10K+ employees).
CPP certification required.
Experience with timekeeping, POS, and payroll systems.
Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, garnishments, payroll tax, and regulatory reporting.
Multi-state experience including California; Canadian payroll experience preferred.
Background in publicly traded companies is a plus.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
💼 Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary: $120,000–$130,000
Performance-based bonus
