Overview
LHH is partnering with a well-established and growing commercial real estate organization seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support a portfolio of complex properties. This role offers strong visibility to leadership, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work across a full lifecycle of real estate accounting.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned commercial real estate properties
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance reports, and supporting schedules
Post journal entries (cash and accrual) and maintain general ledger accuracy
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity
Review tenant billings, rent rolls, and delinquency reports; ensure proper application of cash receipts
Review and approve accounts payable batches and maintain property cash balances
Partner with property management to meet all reporting deadlines, including monthly reporting, budgets, and escalations
Prepare CAM reconciliations, tax escalations, and owner distributions
Ensure compliance with GAAP, management agreements, and internal controls
Assist with audits and provide documentation to internal/external stakeholders
Support process improvements and assist with mentoring junior staff as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
4+ years of commercial real estate/property accounting experience (fee-based preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting
Experience with CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and variance analysis
Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
