Why This Role
The Senior Revenue Accountant will play a critical role in owning and overseeing the revenue cycle accounting function within a complex, multi-location healthcare environment. This is a hands-on, high-visibility position with responsibility for revenue, accounts receivable, intercompany activity, and provider compensation, as well as meaningful exposure to technical accounting and audit processes.

What You’ll Be Doing
Revenue & Close Ownership
Lead the monthly close process for revenue and accounts receivable across 130+ locations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue, AR, deferred revenue, and related accounts.
Revenue Cycle & Cash
Serve as the primary accounting owner of the end-to-end revenue cycle.
Manage reconciliation of unapplied cash, partnering closely with the Revenue Operations team to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency.
Support and enhance quote-to-cash workflows through cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Accounting & Compliance
Maintain and update revenue recognition policies under ASC 606, specifically tailored to healthcare and multi-entity environments.
Oversee intercompany revenue transactions and eliminations to ensure clean consolidated financial reporting.
Prepare detailed support for external audits, partnering with auditors on revenue-related inquiries.
Provider Commissions & Reporting
Calculate, review, and record complex provider commission structures, ensuring timely and accurate payouts.
Assist with revenue-related financial reporting and analysis.
Tax & External Partners
Coordinate with an external tax firm to ensure sales tax compliance and reporting are accurate and timely.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Demonstrated experience owning revenue close processes in a multi-entity or multi-site organization
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
Strongly Preferred
Experience in healthcare or healthcare-adjacent organizations
Hands-on exposure to ASC 606
Experience with Sage Intacct
Experience with ModMed or similar practice management systems
Experience supporting external audits
CPA eligible (or actively pursuing)
This role is best suited for candidates with deep revenue accounting experience. General accountants without hands-on revenue ownership or close responsibility are unlikely to be a fit.

Pay Details: $105,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
