Material Handler – Contract

Location: Chestnut Ridge, NY
Schedule: 100% On-Site
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM

We are currently seeking a contract Material Handler to join the Warehousing team in Chestnut Ridge, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Pick, verify, and pack orders for domestic and international shipments

• Pick order requisitions for internal production and the service center

• Package, label, and prepare materials for production, service, and outbound shipments using the company ERP system

• Prepare, count, and make adjustments for weekly cycle counts

• Put away incoming inventory, including repacking, labeling, and storing materials in the appropriate locations

• Prepare material kits for assembly production and distribute them to manufacturing

• Identify errors on kit lists and sales orders and communicate with the appropriate personnel to have them corrected

• Maintain accuracy and organization throughout the shipping and inventory process

Requirements:

• Basic computer and data entry skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize assignments and handle time-sensitive requests

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to understand terminology related to shipping and warehouse operations

• Understanding of domestic shipping documentation preferred

• Responsible, thorough, and able to meet deadlines

• Excellent attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work overtime when needed

• Must be able to work 100% on-site in Chestnut Ridge, NY

Pay Details: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour
