Staff Accountant
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary Range: $52k - $57k 
Schedule: Mon - Fri - 7am - 3:30PM, hybrid 

Overview:
Our client is a fast paced, collaborative accounting team that supports multiple entities across Arizona. They’re looking for someone who enjoys variety in their day and can jump between general ledger work, reconciliations, journal entries, and partnering with different departments. It’s a diverse, open office environment where the team supports each other, communicates well, and keeps the drama low. Responsibilities:
  • Perform general ledger and account reconciliations including bank statements, balance sheets, prepaids, and accruals
  • Create and post journal entries and understand debits and credits
  • Conduct bank validations and monitor POS system data for deposit accuracy and fraud detection
  • Support multiple entities
  • Handle intercompany balancing and resolve pricing or quantity discrepancies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments
  • Research and resolve flagged transactions and inconsistencies
  • Assist with 4 week close including prepaids and accruals (e.g., utilities, etc.)
  • Audit automated system data for consistency and errors
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Experience with various accounting tools; SAP familiarity is ideal but not required
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with intercompany balancing is a major plus


Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $57,000.00 per year
