Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Marana, AZ 85653 (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-time - 40+ hours a week
Overview:
LHH is seeking an experienced and proactive Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Marana, AZ 85653. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 - 5 years of experience, a strong grasp of month-end close processes, and the analytical mindset to dig into the numbers and ask the right questions. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support key components of the monthly and year-end close process
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure financial accuracy
Analyze financial data, identify variances, and communicate findings to management
Collaborate across departments to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (GAAP)
Support audit processes and provide documentation as needed
Utilize ERP systems to manage and process financial transactions efficiently
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
Strong month-end close experience in a fast-paced setting (5-day close highly preferred)
Proactive and analytical mindset able to investigate variances and ask critical questions
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
