We are working with a growing organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a well-rounded accounting foundation, with hands-on exposure across the month-end close and full accounting cycle. The team is looking to develop this individual into a broader accounting professional over time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring and adjusting entries

  • Calculate and record accruals and prepaids

  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and key accounts) and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting

  • Partner with internal teams to gather data and improve accuracy of financials

  • Provide ad hoc support to Accounts Payable as needed (not a primary responsibility)

  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation as the accounting function evolves


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1–3+ years of accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

  • Experience in real estate, construction, or a related industry is highly preferred

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and exposure to ERP systems

  • Eagerness to learn and grow into a full-scope accounting role



Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
