Staff Accountant

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant to join one of our clients teams in Sandy Springs. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to a collaborative accounting team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company and its subsidiaries.
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the financial health of the organization.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and vendor management.
Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
Collaborate with managers and other departments to address accounting questions and ensure financial accuracy.
Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Assist with additional accounting tasks and process improvements as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years of accounting experience preferred (entry-level roles may accept new graduates).
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Cloud, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of accrual accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting principles.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
