Tax Exempt Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Exempt Specialist to support tax-exempt documentation and data processing activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills, excellent organization, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Tax experience is not required—training will be provided—though prior exposure to tax, compliance, or administrative work is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter and maintain tax-exempt data and documentation
Review forms and records for completeness and accuracy
Organize and track tax-exempt certificates and related records
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and documentation standards
Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks in a high-volume environment
Communicate professionally with internal teams regarding missing or incomplete information
Qualifications
Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute (required)
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to follow written processes
Comfortable working with computer systems and multiple screens
Tax, compliance, helpful but not required
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles
Familiarity with tax forms, exemptions, or compliance environments (a plus)
Ability to thrive in a structured, deadline-driven setting
