Tax Exempt Specialist

Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Exempt Specialist to support tax-exempt documentation and data processing activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills, excellent organization, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Tax experience is not required—training will be provided—though prior exposure to tax, compliance, or administrative work is a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain tax-exempt data and documentation

  • Review forms and records for completeness and accuracy

  • Organize and track tax-exempt certificates and related records

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and documentation standards

  • Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks in a high-volume environment

  • Communicate professionally with internal teams regarding missing or incomplete information


Qualifications

  • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute (required)

  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Ability to follow written processes

  • Comfortable working with computer systems and multiple screens

  • Tax, compliance, helpful but not required


Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles

  • Familiarity with tax forms, exemptions, or compliance environments (a plus)

  • Ability to thrive in a structured, deadline-driven setting

Pay Details: $45,760.00 to $52,000.00 per year
