Position: Vice President of Financial Planning

Location: Farmingdale, NY - mainly working remote and commuting to the office as needed. Must live in the metro NY area and have a reasonable commute to the office.

Salary: 180k-210k plus bonus and incentive plan

Summary: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading financial institution on Long Island to hire a Vice President of Financial Planning.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the growth, performance, and overall success of the organization’s investment services program.

Position Overview

The Vice President of Financial Planning will serve as a key leader, responsible for executing a strategic vision focused on expanding advisor headcount, increasing revenue, and enhancing client engagement. This role will also ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the development of a high-performing advisory team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute a comprehensive sales and growth strategy to drive revenue, advisor productivity, and client engagement

  • Establish performance metrics, accountability standards, and sales expectations for advisors and support teams

  • Drive recruiting efforts to build a strong pipeline of experienced advisors and emerging talent

  • Oversee onboarding programs to accelerate advisor productivity and integration

  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, focusing on business development, book-building, and relationship management

  • Identify advisor book acquisition opportunities and support financial analysis for strategic growth decisions

  • Partner cross-functionally with retail banking, marketing, and leadership teams to drive referrals and enhance the client experience

  • Ensure all sales practices align with regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards

  • Monitor KPIs, sales performance, forecasting, and production analytics to inform executive decision-making

Qualifications

  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses required

  • Life, Accident & Health Insurance License required

  • Strong leadership background within financial services, wealth management, or investment programs

  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and develop high-performing teams

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business systems

Additional Details

  • Location: Long Island, NY

  • Travel: Approximately 15%

  • Full supervisory responsibility with direct leadership of advisory teams



Pay Details: $180,000.00 to $210,000.00 per year
