Warehouse Manager

LHH is assisting a client in Richmond, CA with a Direct Hire opportunity for a Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager is a data-driven operations leader responsible for full warehouse performance, including safety, compliance, inventory accuracy, throughput, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on leader who translates data insights into disciplined execution on the warehouse floor while driving continuous improvement and operational stability during change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and container flow

  • Use KPIs, trends, and exception reporting to identify risks, improve performance, and drive corrective action

  • Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures across all shifts

  • Actively manage inbound and outbound flow to support volume and capacity requirements

  • Serve as owner of safety, food/regulatory compliance, training, and audit readiness

  • Maintain disciplined documentation, training records, and compliance standards

  • Coach, develop, and hold teams accountable while fostering a positive, high-ownership culture

  • Lead process, system, and operational changes with clarity, consistency, and professionalism

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • 5+ years of progressive warehouse or distribution operations experience

  • Proven people leadership experience in a hands-on operational environment

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse KPIs, and operational controls

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements

  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (food, manufacturing, or distribution preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree

  • Experience leading teams through operational or organizational change

  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically—from dashboards to dock doors

  • Experience coaching frontline teams with varied skill and experience levels

  • Strong analytical mindset with working knowledge of ERP/WMS reporting tools

  • Track record of building disciplined operations without sacrificing culture
