About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned WordPress Developer to support the launch of a new corporate website and new website features. This is a contract opportunity for a Chicago based client, with the potential to extend based on project success and ongoing needs.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and a third-party vendor to ensure a seamless rollout, while also contributing to the development of reusable assets and templates. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on the rollout of a new corporate website which may involve coding custom plug-ins and new features
Manage post-launch updates, edits, and troubleshooting
Develop individual websites for commercial and multifamily properties
Ensure all digital assets are organized and accessible to the team
Act as a liaison with the external vendor, advocating for project needs and resolving scope-related issues
Provide regular updates and maintain a high level of responsiveness and urgency
Requirements
5+ years of front-end web development experience, with a strong focus on WordPress
Demonstrated experience building custom WordPress themes, plugins, and searchability features
Strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress builds and scalable architecture
Experience managing third-party vendor relationships is strongly preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be available during standard business hours
Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
