Cash Application Specialist – Contract to Hire

Near Canton, OH | Pay up to $24/hr

LHH is partnering with a reputable organization near Canton, Ohio to identify a Cash Application Specialist for an exciting contract?to?hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail?oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, high?volume transactions, and fast?paced environments. What You’ll Be Doing

• Accurately apply daily customer payments including checks, ACH, wire transfers, lockbox, and credit cards
• Research and resolve unapplied, unidentified, and misapplied cash transactions
• Reconcile daily cash activity to bank deposits and internal reporting
• Investigate and resolve short payments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies
• Partner closely with Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections teams
• Maintain accurate documentation to support clean AR aging and reporting
• Utilize Excel to track, reconcile, and analyze payment activity

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or related accounting functions
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high?volume payment processing
• Proficiency in Excel for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross?functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem?solving skills

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
