Build the Future of Cloud Governance & Platform Engineering

LHH is partnering with a mission-driven engineering and design organization to hire a Cloud Platform Specialist for a newly created, high-impact role. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable cloud foundations, establishing governance standards, and creating secure deployment processes that empower development teams across the organization.

This is not a traditional infrastructure support role, nor is it purely application development. Instead, this position sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, DevOps, governance, security, and platform enablement.

The person in this role will help define and build the organization’s Azure platform standards, CI/CD framework, application promotion processes, and governance model for modern development initiatives — including low-code applications, automation tools, and AI-enabled workloads.

If you thrive in environments where you can create structure, influence strategy, and drive best practices from the ground up, this is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

Cloud Platform & DevOps

  • Design and build secure, scalable Azure-based hosting environments

  • Develop standardized deployment workflows across development, test, UAT, and production

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Bicep

  • Define repeatable, supportable deployment patterns for internal teams

Governance & Security

  • Establish standards for:

    • Identity and access management

    • Secrets management

    • Logging and monitoring

    • Alerting and compliance

  • Evaluate internally developed applications for:

    • Security

    • Production readiness

    • Compliance

    • Long-term supportability

  • Define governance standards for:

    • Internal applications

    • Low-code solutions

    • Automation tools

    • AI-enabled workloads

Power Platform & AI Governance

  • Support Power Platform governance, including:

    • Environment strategy

    • DLP policies

    • Connector management

    • Access controls

  • Help govern Azure AI / Azure OpenAI usage through:

    • Access controls

    • Approved usage patterns

    • Audit logging

    • Data protection guardrails

Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Partner with infrastructure, development, and internal business teams

  • Help guide citizen developers and engineering teams through deployment processes

  • Provide secondary support for Azure infrastructure operations, including Windows Server and Linux environments as needed
