Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting or related corporate finance roles
- Strong understanding of asset capitalization rules and depreciation methods
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and identify discrepancies
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to meet deadlines during month-end close while driving long-term improvements
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Experience in a multinational corporate environment, including team and process management
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud, Power BI, and SmartView
- Intermediate Portuguese proficiency
General Description
The Fixed Assets Manager is responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of the fixed assets register, ensuring compliance with capitalization policies, supporting timely month-end close related to asset accounting, and contributing to audits and corporate initiatives involving capital expenditures.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Oversee the fixed assets reconciliation process, ensuring alignment between subledger and general ledger balances.
- Monitor and analyze capital project spending, ensuring proper classification and timely capitalization.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis related to fixed assets.
- Lead initiatives to improve fixed asset tracking, tagging, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate asset lifecycle management and reporting.
- Contribute to month-end close activities by preparing and reviewing journal entries related to fixed assets and depreciation.
- Initiate and lead ad hoc projects and process improvements with minimal supervision.
