Middleware - Platform Engineer
Client description:
Leading company in the port sector in Mexico, specialized in the development and operation of terminals for the handling of automobiles, general cargo, containers and cruises, with presence in the main ports of the country.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience, preferably with RedHat (OEL), VMware, Microsoft, MCSA, MCSD and/or MCSE certifications.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows Server technologies and peripherals
- Strong knowledge of middleware/messaging systems (e.g. Tibco, Wildfly, AMQ).
- Knowledge of Database Queries: Oracle, SQL, MySQL, Snowflake database queries.
- Knowledge of web service integration: Understanding of REST, SOAP, and other web service protocols is crucial.
- Familiarity with virtualization, TCP/IP and Active Directory.
- Experience with various programming languages and technologies: Familiarity with languages like Java, Python, and others, as well as database technologies, is often required.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with ITIL service delivery methodologies, including problem and incident management.
- Strong communication skills: Work closely with other developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
Responsabilities:
- Designing and implementing middleware solutions: This includes choosing the right middleware technologies and architectures to suit the specific needs of the organization.
- Integrating systems and applications: Connect various systems, ensuring they can communicate and exchange data seamlessly.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues: Diagnose and fix problems that arise during communication between systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Database Queries: Able to write or develop complex database queries.
- Developing applications using middleware: Create new applications or modify existing ones to leverage the capabilities of middleware.
- Monitoring and maintaining middleware systems: Ensure that the systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest middleware technologies and best practices: Continuously learn and adapt to the evolving landscape of middleware.
