Network Engineer
Client Description:
Leading company in the port sector in Mexico, specialized in the development and operation of terminals for the handling of automobiles, general cargo, containers and cruises, with presence in the main ports of the country.
Candidate Profile:
- Knowledge of Open Systems Interconnection Model (OSI).
- Knowledge of Directory Services (e.g., Windows 2000+ AD, LDAP, etc.) and Internet Protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL, etc.)
- Knowledge of firewall configuration and management, network technologies and platforms, and various network types (e.g., LAN, WAN, and WLAN).
- Knowledge of hardware integration into networks, including routers, switches, power systems, and cables.
- Knowledge of Ci/CD, agile methodologies, DevOps, etc.
- Ability to proactively identify, communicate, prioritize, and solve complex problems and recommend solutions for improving network health and overall effectiveness.
- Ability to establish and enforce policies that deliver upon a secure network system.
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and to leverage business acumen in problem solving, as well as to maintain a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate with other members of teams in the pursuit of a common vision.
- Ability to foster synergy within and across teams and build mutual trust and respect.

Responsabilities:
- Contribute to the enterprise network workflow.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of network infrastructure, resolution of support issues associated with the network, and management of network updates / changes / and associated communications.
- Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving critical network related issues that impact operations.
- Communicate solutions to network related issues and preferred emerging technologies that can be used to improve the overall health of the network infrastructure.
- Work with technical teams to ensure that hardware and software infrastructure is maintained with latest firmware and software requirements.
- Manage basic support to resolve networking related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve low to medium complexity issues impacting the customers’ challenges and needs.
- Proactively communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting the performance of network components against KPIs and take preemptive measures to minimize interruptions. Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving the overall network health by assessing overall effectiveness and efficiency.
- Create and manage against OKRs.
