SAP PP Consultant

Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP PP (Production Planning) Consultant to an international manufacturing company. This role requires deep expertise in SAP PP modules, the ability to provide functional support, and a proven record of managing complex projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with global teams to optimize processes and drive successful project implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support for SAP PP modules to global business process teams and operational divisions.
• Address escalated solution issues, ensuring timely resolution, rigorous testing, and proper closure of tickets.
• Analyze and recommend optimal strategies for testing release content in the SAP PP domain.
• Collaborate with regional/local support teams to ensure successful release validation processes.
• Evaluate, challenge, and validate recommendations and actions related to SAP PP operations.
• Partner with Global Data Excellence and Business Process Leaders to resolve issues and drive process enhancements.
• Work closely with global business and regional teams to meet project expectations and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to core bug and enhancement specifications, and assist in testing and validation.

Technical Expertise Required

• Experience:
  
  • 510 years of SAP PP experience, including global template design, validation, rollouts, and support.
  • Background in procurement or inventory management is advantageous.
• SAP PP Modules Expertise:
• Core Areas:
  
  • Discrete Manufacturing: Order creation, release, confirmation, and internal integration with planning.
    
    • REM (Repetitive Manufacturing), Production Kanban, and collective orders.
  • Documentation: Printing and information systems for orders.
• Advanced Processes:
  
  • Capacity Planning, SOP, Master Production Scheduling, Demand Management, and MRP basics/results.
    
    • EDI/IDOC integration for PO-SO flows and long-term planning.
  • Purchase order and stock transfer workflows.
  • Subcontracting processes, including handling different subcontracting types.
• Additional Knowledge Areas:
  
  • Integration with other modules such as MM, QM, PM, and MES systems.
  • Time tracking with orders and order archiving processes.
  • S/4HANA certification and experience (preferred).
  • Project management skills, including planning, follow-ups, and cross-functional team coordination.
