We’re currently partnering with a leading client in Zürich to find a talented and experienced IT Product Owner (m/w/d) to join their growing team in Zürich.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of impactful technical challenges within a well-established project environment. You’ll work independently on end-to-end initiatives, helping shape the product’s strategic direction while collaborating with a highly supportive and agile team.


Contract Duration: 12 months

Start date: 1st of October 2025

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Co-define the Product Vision and Strategy in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Establish and communicate a clear Product Goal to guide development efforts.
  • Own and refine the Product Backlog, ensuring it is well-structured, prioritized, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the Agile team, translating business requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous delivery and improvement.
  • Measure product performance using relevant KPIs and metrics to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously enhance the product and deliver maximum value.
  • Ensure deliverables meet  quality standards, maintaining consistency and completeness across all outputs.
  • Balance long-term vision with budget constraints, making strategic trade-offs where necessary.
  • Identify new opportunities for innovation and value creation within the product ecosystem.


What we’re looking for:

  • You have hands-on experience in Business Consulting and Data Analytics
  •  A background within product life cycle is a big plus (End-to-End)
  • You have good communication skills and can adapt your language to the business context
  •  You can familiarize yourself with business processes and challenges
  • Effective facilitation skills. Should be able to steer group discussions and lead meetings
  • Be able to support the business around Data Engineering and Data Science
  • Service Management competencies including expectation and risk management
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financing of an IT Service
  • Close collaboration with the Portfolio Owner to support the products portfolio

 

Personal skills

  • Action orientated. Should be able to follow up persistently on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum)
  • Being data literate
  •  Proven experience in leading technical teams, and mentoring and overseeing offshore developers
  • Motivated to work in an international working culture (Europe, India, US)
  • Coach and help to develop the team
  • Translate business requirements into technical tasks
  • Fluent in English required, German a plus

Technical skills 

  • Experience in data engineering, data modelling and data mining
  • Knowledge in data architecture and platform setups
  • Knowledge of visualizing and presenting insights from data with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI or Qlik
