Sales Manager – Industrial Packaging (Germany & Benelux)

Any location in the Netherlands (home-office based), close to German border would be preferred.
Job description
This is a field sales position with full responsibility for managing an existing customer base. The role reports to the Sales Director Industrial Europe. The position is home-based and covers mainly the mid and northern part of Germany with and the Benelux market.
The main responsibilities of the role can be summarized as follows:
· Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in Germany and Benelux
· Customer Visits & Meetings: Conduct full end-to-end client meetings, including technical consultations and deal negotiations
· Look for new opportunities and areas of growth
· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
· Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
· Budget Management: Oversee the regional sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives
· Sales Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and adjust strategies accordingly
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Product Marketing and Operations, to align sales strategies with overall business goals
· Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans
Candidate profile
· Proven experience in field sales (B2B), ideally in industrial packaging or a related field
· Experience in the Benelux and German is a must
· Sales-driven mentality – comfortable with both account management & new business development
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
· Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities
· Ability to handle a portfolio of existing customers and develop some prospects
· Technical sales acumen – able to consult and advise customers on product applications
· Ability to provide rapid customer response & service
· Fluent in Dutch and English. Proficient German business skills are required for this position as well
· Strong travel commitment within the assigned territory (2-3 days per week on field across Germany and Benelux)
· Familiarity with reporting tools (PowerBI)
