Payment Operations Officer

We are seeking a Payment Operations Officer to join the dynamic team of our client, an international bank based in Luxembourg. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily payment operations, managing cash-flow activities, and ensuring accurate reconciliation. The position is offered on a temporary contract basis, with a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Specialized in Payment Operations: Manage day-to-day payment activities, ensuring smooth execution of payment processes and timely processing of financial transactions
• Oversee Daily Cash-Flow Activity: Take ownership of daily cash-flow management, ensuring accurate tracking, monitoring, and reporting of financial movements
• Reconciliation: Ensure timely and precise reconciliation of payments, resolving discrepancies and ensuring that accounts align with financial records
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with various departments and teams

Your profile:

• You have an academic background in Finance
• You possess at least 3 years of relevant experience with good understanding of Accounting
• You have a banking background, and you are an expert in Cash management
• You are experienced in SEPA and SWIFT payment processing
• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge in SQL and VBA is a strong asset
• You are fluent in English, German or other languages is a plus
