Accounting & Tax Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting & Tax Specialist to join the Finance team of the Italian branch of a leading multinational group, based in Milan. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing accounting processes and ensuring tax compliance within a dynamic and international environment

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping of costs and revenue items at statutory and management accounting level, by Cost Center, Profit Center, and Business Unit
• Processing of vendor invoices and support to the accounts payable cycle
• Supervising and cooperating with the Shared Service Center team mainly with reference to vendor master data, payments, custom bills, Purchase orders
• Monitoring transmission of customer invoices to the SDI solving timely any issue
• Managing the fiscal archive (both the internal and the certified one)
• Preparation of accruals, adjustments, and provisions at monthly, half-year, and year-end closing
• Intercompany reconciliations and related accounting entries
• Tax compliance: Intrastat, Esterometro, periodic VAT returns (LIPE), VAT declarations, reverse charge entries, withholding tax, Transfer Pricing documentation, and corporate income tax
• Support to the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, notes to the accounts, cash flow statement), in compliance with OIC accounting standards
• Support to external auditors and tax consultants during periodic audits and reviews
• General support to the Finance team on ad-hoc analysis, reporting activities and process improvement initiatives

Your Profile

• Degree in Economics, Accounting to oversee accounting and tax activities
• At least 3–5 years of experience in accounting and/or tax roles, preferably in a multinational company or structured professional firm
• Proficiency with SAP (FI/CO modules) for the use of the internal accounting system
• Fluent English (written and spoken) to liaise with international colleagues

Location: North-West Milan

Offered compensation package:

• Level II – Level I (Commerce CCNL)
• Gross annual salary (RAL): €40,000 – €45,000
• Variable bonus scheme
