Lee Hecht Harrison Announces the Appointment of Ranjit de Sousa to Succeed Peter Alcide

Zurich, Switzerland,19 March 2018: Lee Hecht Harrison, the world’s leading provider of career transition solutions, announced today that Peter Alcide, President, will step down from the company on 30 June 2018. He will be succeeded by Ranjit de Sousa, currently Executive Vice President EMEA. Mr. Alcide will remain involved with the company in an advisory role, allowing Lee Hecht Harrison to continue to benefit from his 24 years of experience with the company and his deep knowledge of the industry. 

Under Alcide’s leadership, Lee Hecht Harrison more than doubled its business through organic growth and major acquisitions such as DBM, Penna and Knightsbridge. During his 10 years heading Lee Hecht Harrison, he helped the company become the largest career transition provider in the world and one of the most successful divisions within the Adecco Group, the world’s leading HR solutions provider.

Ranjit de Sousa (41), currently Executive Vice President of Lee Hecht Harrison’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region, is a Swiss national. Having joined the Adecco Group in 2005 as Director, Business Development, de Sousa moved in 2007 to Lee Hecht Harrison-Altedia in France. From 2008, he held the role of SVP Global Business Development at Lee Hecht Harrison, based in New York. In 2010, de Sousa returned to Europe as EVP, EMEA and has since helped successfully grow the Lee Hecht Harrison business in eight countries. He has been the Lee Hecht Harrison Executive sponsor leading the company’s digital transformation and was recently elected as a Board Member of the World Employment Confederation, representing the Adecco Group. Ranjit holds an M.A. (lic. rer. publ. HSG) in economics, law and political science from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and studied at the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Études Internationales in Geneva (HEI).
