We are seeking a skilled Translator to join a prestigious international bank based in Luxembourg. As a Translator, your primary responsibilities will include translating texts from French, German, and potentially other source languages into English, editing English publications, and supporting the Head of Unit. You will be part of a dedicated team of four translators, contributing to the Bank’s linguistic needs as part of the Linguistic Services Division. You will report to the Head of the English Language Unit and work under the overall guidance of the Head of the Linguistic Services Division.

Your responsibilities:


  • Translate documents from French, German, and possibly other languages into English, including materials for governing bodies and content for print and online publication.
  • Revise translations from French, German, and other languages produced by in-house staff and freelancers.
  • Edit and proofread English publications for the bank.
  • Contribute to enhancing the division’s terminological database (Multiterm).
  • Assist in maintaining and managing the Unit’s translation memories.

Your profile :


  • University degree or postgraduate qualification in translation, with a focus on economics, business administration, finance, or banking being a plus.
  • At least three years of professional experience in translation.
  • Native English speaker with excellent knowledge of French. Additional proficiency in other EU languages, especially Spanish and/or German, is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-aided translation tools (preferably Trados, including Trados Studio) and terminology tools (Multiterm, IATE).
  • Skilled in using machine translation and post-editing.
  • Strong ability to gather and reference materials effectively.
  • Focused on continuous performance improvement and goal achievement.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work across organizational boundaries and appreciate diverse perspectives.
