Family Solicitor/Legal Executive Opportunity - Leading Legal 500 firm, Christchurch, Dorset
We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Lawyer to join a busy team in Christchurch or Ringwood. Our client is seeking a talented individual who can confidently manage their own caseload while also collaborating with experienced team members. This is a permanent, full-time position.
The successful candidate will handle a variety of privately funded family work, serving a diverse client base that includes individuals ranging from modest to high net worth. Our client also handles complex private children law matters, providing a stimulating and challenging work environment.
We are looking for someone who is IT literate and comfortable learning new processes. The ideal candidate will consistently exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanour, avoiding jargon when communicating with clients. Cooperation with colleagues from all teams is essential, as our client places a strong emphasis on teamwork and supporting one another.
The ability to work calmly under pressure and take personal pride in one's work are critical attributes for this role. Maintaining appropriate client contact and demonstrating a sense of responsibility for resolving issues are also vital qualities.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:
- Qualified solicitor/FCILEx with a minimum of 3 years of PQE
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptability and responsiveness to changes
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Proactive in anticipating client needs and identifying opportunities for other teams
- Promptly returns client calls
- Capable of meeting new clients and securing new business
In addition to the above, the following abilities would be desirable:
- Strong organisational skills
- Marketing and networking proficiency
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- Self-motivation to meet and exceed targets
- Demonstrates initiative
- Efficiently manages workload and resources
- Appropriately delegates tasks to team members
- Presents our client based on service and values, rather than price alone, and follows up on viable inquiries
