Business Analyst - Financial Crime / Transaction Monitoring and Fraud - Investment bank
Our client is a major bank in London. At present they require a BA with a background in Financial Crime / Transaction Monitoring and Fraud - Please note applicants that don't have relevant FC / TM exposure won't be considered for this role.
**Please note this role will NOT go beyond the day rate suggested***
* An understanding of Financial Crime, particularly around Transaction Monitoring and Fraud, banking products and the relevant related financial instruments.
* Technical expertise required to analyse impact of change on the bank's processes and system infrastructure, however this is a business role not an IT based BA role.
* Understand and negotiate between the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
* May interface other departments such as Financial Crime Group, 1st Line Rules & List Management team, 2nd Line Compliance, Planning, Front Office, Operations and/or IT. May provide face to face and written reports, updates and recommendations directly to Senior Management members
- Work with SME/s and end users to understand and document the practical implications for all associated systems and processes.
- Provide revisions and updates to the relevant Traceability Matrix (if required).
- Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the current practice and processes of departments and the organisation, including liaising with EMEA offices to first identify where change is required, then analyse and provide recommendations re the optimal approach, communicate the preferred approach across stakeholders and gather consensus to support and provide documentation to support.
