Our client, a global investment banking organisation, is seeking a Business Manager to support their management and marketing teams in materialising their strategic goals, growing their business, and maintaining a robust internal control and governance framework. This temporary contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation's trade finance portfolio and make a meaningful impact on their global mission.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the organisation's control and process infrastructure, such as delegation of authority, IT system access rights, approval flows, and organisation charts.
- Provide support to London staff on various administrative tasks, including business trips, Gift & Entertainment, public relations activities, expense claims, and new joiner set-up.
- Support management with general administrative tasks, such as meeting arrangements and diary control.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained for trade finance business, including data collation, inputting, and extraction from bank systems. Provide summaries, analysis, and relevant commentary on trends and variances.
Requirements:
- Experience in financial services, preferably in an accounting role. Knowledge of trade finance products is highly desirable.
- Strong numerical, accounting, and financial skills, with the ability to manage and control financial information.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP functions, and graphs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships at various levels within the organisation.
- Ability to challenge assumptions effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with the initiative to seek feedback and input from stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Knowledge of Japanese is highly desirable, but not essential.
