Job Summary:
I am delighted to be working with this leading law firm to recruit an experienced Family Solicitor to join their growing team. As a Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, child arrangements, financial settlements, and domestic violence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, child arrangements, financial settlements, and domestic violence.
- Conduct client interviews and take instructions to identify their legal needs and provide clear and concise advice.
- Prepare and negotiate pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, and consent orders.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including divorces, ancillary relief applications, and children act proceedings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their cases.
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm to ensure effective case management and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in family law legislation and case law, ensuring that your knowledge is current and relevant.
- Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and business development initiatives to grow the family law department.
Requirements:
- A qualified solicitor with at least 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in family law.
- Strong understanding of family law principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in case management systems
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with changes in family law.
